Travels Near and Far
pean attitude. Parisians during the day tend to blend in with each other... but at night... they are very social and fun loving people. I found that if I tried to speak their language first, they would often revert to English to spare me the hassle.
Paris is easy to get around in once you master the Metro. I never felt unsafe walking the streets. The only part that I found sketchy was on the outskirts of Paris going towards the open market, while scrounging for antiques. At all times, however, you need to be aware of pickpockets...
During my last visit there we stumbled upon a hidden local favorite restaurant. It was a fabulous restaurant that we immediately made reservations for the following nights. It was called "Le Loup Blance" - The White Wolf. The food was fabulous and the owners - a husband and wife, were wonderful and very friendly. A trip to Paris must include dinner at "Le Loup Blance".
